The Process
For those of you located in San Diego that want to keep your car or truck looking like new, a treatment from Black Forest Mobile Detailing is exaclty what you need.
We have a few cars in my garage and more often than not, my wife's BMW gets the most use out of the bunch. As a daily driver, it collects the grime of day to day use, then if we take it on trips, it doesn't take too long until it looks pretty shaby. If I had to keep the car clean myself, I would be spending a lot of time in the driveway and garage, but Black Forest Mobile Detailing takes care of what I need: to keep her BMW looking like new and my own cars looking amazing.
Assuming you start off with a car that is dirty and well used, here is what to expect when Black Forest Mobile Detailing arrives:
The technicians that have come to us have always been on time, friendly, courteous and experienced. They ask about the car and inquire as to any special requests. I for instance don't like any shiny black dash cleaners, or on one occassion I had a car that needed “special attention” after a cat decided to mark its territory on the carpet of one of my convertibles.
They get to work and wash the car with de-ionized water. Who wants water stains right? Once the grime has been removed, they do a claybar treatment which removes any impurities, embedded dirt, and other contaminents from the paint. Before the technician does the claybar, make sure you wipe your hand over the paint, and then do so once again after the treatment and you will be amazed at how smooth the surface becomes.
They wash the wheel wells and then “dress” the areas to restore and maintain that black appearance as when new.
The wheels get cleaned next, and in cases where the alloy wheels have been neglected, a mild acid wash is performed which does an amazing job of removing old brake dust, dirt and grim. The wheels are then dressed. Finally the tires are cleaned and dressed. Just this process alone makes the car look amazing.
The car gets waxed and polished with industry leading products. The windows are cleaned inside and out. I can say that keeping automotive glass clean and streak free is a real art – and when Black Forest Mobile Detailing is finished the glass looks flawless.
Any black trim and or rubber, is cleaned and dressed, again restoring the new car look to your vehicle.
The interior gets a complete work over. Carpets get shampoed and vacummed, the entire inside gets dusted and cleaned, and then everything is treated. Plastics are cleaned and treated, and then leather surfaces are lightly cleaned and then protected with leading leather care products.
In the end I am always amazed at how nice the car looks after a Black Forest Mobile Detail, and especially so considering how it looks before they do the work.

One thing to mention as well, is that the guys at Black Forest Mobile Detailing give each car equal treatment regardless of age or make. Some companies will hurry through the process unless they think the car is “worth the effort”. Not Black Forest Mobile Detailing. Over the years they have given the same quality treatment to my 20 year old “beater” car, that they provide my wife's BMW or my valued 911s and Ferrari.
